Murakami started his career at Nabla in 1998, then worked for Studio LiNDA and other production companies. After joining StudioBUCKHORN in 2012, he worked as a VFX supervisor in numerous blockbuster films and series including Mumon: The Land of Stealth (2017), The Naked Director Season 1 (2019), Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! (2020), and Tokyo Revengers (2021). His work as a VFX supervisor in Keep Your Hands Off Eizoken! (2020) received three domestic VFX awards from VFX-JAPAN, MPTE, and CG-WORLD. After transferring over to Megalis in 2022, Murakami worked as an associate VFX supervisor for Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead (2023). Joined THE SEVEN in January 2024.
