Sekiguchi started his career at a video production industry in 2002, producing numerous music videos, and joined FILM,INC., a film and TV production company. He worked as an assistant producer for hit content including the movies Midsummer's Equation (2013), Poison Berry in My Brain (2015), Nobunaga Concerto: The Movie (2016), and the drama series Miss PILOT (2013). Then as a line producer for the movie Mixed Doubles (2017), Fly Me to the Saitama (2019), and as a a cooperative producer for the drama series The Confidence Man JP (2019). Moved to another film production company, sekiguchi planned and produced the film The Water Flows to the Sea (2023). Joined THE SEVEN in April 2024.
