Starting his career at IMAGICA in 1995, Ishida was assigned to the Film Color Grading Lab TIMING, and was involved in the production of films such as Swing Girls (2004), Tony Takitani (2005), and What the Snow Brings (2005). In 2008, Ishida transferred to the General Quality Control dept., and worked on production process management and quality improvement. In 2011, with the rise of digital cinema cameras and the diversification of post-production work, he took a position as a technical director, creating workflow and facilitating process and quality control within each operation. His post-production works cover all genres from block-buster live-action, animation films, to TV series such as Chihayafuru (2016-2018), HiGH&LOW (2016-2022), The Confidence Man JP (2019), The Wandering Moon (2022), Alice in Borderland (2020), THE DAYS (2023), Yu Yu Hakusho (2023), What Did You Eat Yesterday? (2019-), silent (2022) and Suzume (2022). Yu Yu Hakusho (2023) has become the biggest global hit ever for a series from Japan, captivating audiences worldwide in the first week since its global release. It debuted at #1 in the Netflix Weekly Global Top 10 Non-English TV List, and secured the second spot across both English and non-English categories. In addition, the series also made the Top 10 in 92 countries and regions around the world. Joined THE SEVEN in July 2023.
