THE SEVEN, Inc., a production studio in Japan known for its Chief Content Officer Akira Morii who produced the hit Netflix series Alice in Borderland, has announced to take part in planning and production of a live-action drama adaptation of the legendary cult favorite manga “KOKUMIN KUIZU” starring Takayuki Yamada, who captivated audiences worldwide with the Netflix series The Naked Director. The drama series will be directed by Teruyuki Yoshida, who directed the NHK historical drama The 13 Lords of The Shogun. The scripts are co-written by the director and Magy, who has diverse talents as a scriptwriter, director and performer in many dramas, films and stage productions. And Akira Morii of THE SEVEN, who led the Netflix series Alice in Borderland and Yu Yu Hakusho to biggest global hit success, will serve as chief producer.

Quiztopia, is a new ultimate dystopian entertainment series adapted from the cult-favorite manga &quot;KOKUMIN KUIZU.&quot; Originally written by Reiichi Sugimoto and illustrated by Shinkichi Kato, the manga was serialized in 1993 and became a rare find until its reissue by Ohta Publishing Company due to high demand. Set in an alternate Japan, the narrative revolves around a government-sanctioned quiz show with supreme authority, as established by the Japanese Constitution. Contestants who win have any wish granted by the government, but those who lose face severe consequences, such as fines, forced labor or conscription. This deadly game tests participants’ resolve to pursue their deepest desires.

Lee from Film Monster, a Korean production label under SLL, known for ALL OF US ARE DEAD, have announced their collaboration on a new drama series for the global market. This is an action-packed spectacular drama series featuring a protagonist who has acquired special abilities, and it is already in development.

世界的に大ヒットしたNetflixドラマ「今際の国のアリス」シリーズのプロデューサー森井輝（THE SEVEN所属）と、「今、私たちの学校は...」の監督イ・ジェギュ（韓国SLL傘下レーベルフィルムモンスター所属）が、世界市場向けドラマの共同製作を発表しました。このドラマは、特殊能力を手にしてしまった主人公が活躍するアクション超大作で、現在開発が進められています。

Akira Morii has been known as the producer of hit Netflix drama series such as ALICE IN BORDERLAND Season 2, which set a record for the highest viewing hours as a Japanese Netflix production, as well as YU YU HAKUSHO, which ranked second in the world among all the drama series in all languages, including English, in the first week after its release. Since 2022, Akira Morii has served as the Chief Content Officer at THE SEVEN, overseeing the production of content tailored for global audiences.J.Q. Lee has been involved in production of leading films and drama series in Korea. He has directed acclaimed drama series such as ALL OF US ARE DEAD, which topped the charts in 91 countries for two weeks on Netflix&apos;s TOP10 (Non-English TV) after its release, and DAILY DOSE OF SUNSHINE, which portrayed the mental states of patients skillfully using VFX.Currently, each is in the process of producing the sequels to their respective globally acclaimed hit works, ALICE IN BORDERLAND Season 3 and ALL OF US ARE DEAD Season 2. Amidst global attention, they have initiated a new international co-production project.This project came about through a proposal from J.Q. The SEVEN has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for co-production of films and drama series with SLL Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of SLL established in 2022. SLL is a leading Korean production studio that has worked on numerous hit works, including the highly successful ITAEWON CLASS, which was also remade in Japan. Collaborating with 15 labels, including Film Monster, to produce a variety of content.
